These pelts come from an odd occurrence from around the Lagoon. Creatures shed their skins when the tides roll too close to the sands. Though they are without the top layer, they seem to survive just fine if not better after shedding. Eventually the resilient underlayer becomes the top layer and they do it all over again. Curiously resilient, hard to burn and never hunted or poached. No wonder they’re used for protective garb.
